Liseanne’s Cold and Flu Fighting Elixir

I was doing my usual regime after my husband started a pretty nasty cold, elderberry tea, bone broth, vitamin C etc. But when the symptoms started coming one I decided to up my game bu making this super charged, anti-inflammatory and immune boosting tea.

Its full of good stuff, warming and soothing symptoms such as congestion, coughing, aches and sore throat!

Recipe

  • 6 cups water
  • 12 tablespoons dried elderberries
  • 1×2 inch piece of peeled ginger root
  • 2 pieces of peeled turmeric root
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • tsp ground black pepper

Bring everything to a boil, reduce to medium low heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Strain and serve hot with raw honey to taste if desired!

Store in the fridge to be reheated for later use for about a week.
